Como & Milan w Aliss

Leaving Imperia, i took a train back to Milano Central and a further train slightly outside Milan to meet my friend Alessandra!

The train ride there was slightly comical as i had missed my stop initially and if i had missed the next stop (i managed to get off), i would have ended up in SWITZERLAND. Fortunately, that did not happen and i made it safely to Aliss’s 🙂 My stay started with a great coincidence, it was Aliss’s birthday party at her place! Food drinks and a great opportunity to socialise with her friends equated to a great first evening! The next day, Aliss turned tour guide as she accompanied me to the great, LAKE COMO! The lake completely lived up to the hype surrounding it. So calm, massive and beautiful all at the same time. It was pretty damn awesome having Aliss as my travel partner as she knew everything about the lake and city. It felt great to understand both the history and architecture i was witnessing. Eventually we found a large patch of grass where people were just chilling and we joined in! My day at Como turned out better than i had hoped 🙂

My last day during this leg of the journey was spent visiting some sights in Milan i had missed such as the Sforza castle and revisiting some of my favourites such as the Duomo di Milano Italian (Milan cathedral). Eventually time came agin to leave (it gets harder and harder to leave people & places) and we headed to Milano Centrale station (i had been to the station 6 times during this trip) for my train. Staying with Aliss & her family is something i will always treasure 😀

Always looking for ways to make my stay more comfortable and enjoyable, i’m so blessed to know such gems of people 😀
