Penang

One week after i landed from my 4 months abroad, i was once again on another holiday, with my family, to Penang! I was pretty excited as it was going to involve my grandparents as well as my mother’s siblings and they’re children (aka my cousin brothers and sisters). I have not seen them in quite some time so this was really opportune for me. The flight was short and soon everyone was in the hotel. The trip was pretty laid back with us mostly eating and spending time with one another. On Sat morning, the whole lot of us climbed a considerable distance to reach the a temple as it was one of my brother’s birthdays (Shaashi). Waking up at 4am to leave for the temple was more difficult than the actual walk up. That evening, the whole family took an overnight cruise (my first time)! The experience was pretty alright with quite a relaxed night on board the ship. The food we had on this trip was so great! We had great char keow teow as well as some amazing seafood practically every night we were there. The part of the trip that was the best was simply spending time with family again 😀
