So for some reason the 1 day ticket cost 110(USD) and the 2 day ticket cost 125(USD) so for just 15 dollars more i got an additional day at US Hollywood! Universal Studios Hollywood was really something else. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was basically every HP fan’s dream. It had a Hogsmeade street with Zonkos, Honeydukes, 3 Broomsticks, Ollivanders and so on. Next to Hogsmeade was Hogwarts!! It was a castle that was basically the home to a ride in the themepark. While queueing up for the ride, the walkway would take you through various parts of the castle like Herbology class, Defence Against the Dark Arts class, Dumbledore’s office and Gryffindor’s Common Room. That ride was arguably the best ride in the entire park, it made you feel like you WERE RIDING ALONGSIDE HARRY ON A BROOMSTICK! They also had the quintessential item for any visit to a Harry Potter world, butterbeer! I’ve tried normal butterbeer before but i had not tried the frozen style before and it was bloody awesome. They basically turned butterbeer into a ice-blended drink, so good. They had a whole Simpsons area which was pretty dope and the Simpsons ride they had was thrilling and hilarious at the same time. The Mummy and Jurassic Park rides were so good, but the Transformers rides was exactly the same as the one in Singapore! The Minions section was quite adorable with pretty dope replicas of the various locations in the movie such as Gru’s house. There were plenty of awesome characters to meet like the Simpsons and Scooby-Doo. One of the best parts of the park was the insight they give people into movie-making. The special effects show gives the audience a taste of how special effects are done from basic things like a fake knife to fire stunts where they showed how a person could be lit on fire (they actually lit a guy on fire!). The studio tour i went on was really special as it showed behind the scenes stuff such as a lake where jaws was shot, the Bates Motel mock-up from Pyscho and the Clocktower from Back to the Future! I’m so happy my Aunt pushed me to do Universal Studios (had no plans to do so originally) because it was so worth it!
