Hollywood Sign & Griffith Observatory

On my third day in LA, i had changed hostels and was off to see the Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Sign. It took me 2 buses before i reached the shuttle that went up to the Observatory. All in all the travel there took a good 2 hours. The observatory itself was really beautiful with it’s quite sublime architecture. The view that came along with it was just as good. The hike up Mount Hollywood ended up being about 2.5 miles one way. The weather was good and the walk was relatively easy. The view got more and more spectacular the higher i climbed. It was really quite peaceful up there with not too many people making the climb all the way to the top, so much so that i had a good 30 minutes to chill up there by myself, just taking in the sights. The hike itself pretty much consumed my day but it was a day well spent 😀
