After catching the northern lights at around 3am, we rallied to get our stuff together and catch our train a few hours later at 6am. The train was pretty alright but as usual the rest we got on the train was not effective at all. I was so sad to say goodbye to snow :(. Anyhow, after a long ride, we were back in Helsinki and we made our way to our accommodation, which was quite far from the city center at a camping site. We were saying (when we arrived at 4pm) thatΒ we would visit the nearby beach after some rest. However, one by one we all fell asleep and next thing we knew it was 10pm. That was how exhausted we were. Luckily the heavy market closed at 11pm so we managed to get some dinner. The next day, we explored the remaining parts of Helsinki such as the Senate Square as well as having the amazing soup again as well. We said goodbye to Sid at around 3pm π¦ After a couple of hours of roaming, i bid farewell to David and Sheng Yang as well. It was quite hard to see them go as we had literally spent almost every hour of the past 32 days with each other so it was so weird travelling without them. That night i took a short detour to Tampere. It was a nice two days over there with my expert guide (Sherilyn). It was really fun catching up, exploring Tampere and pigging out. Tampere was a nice small city and the slow pace of life was such a joy. Eventually i headed back to Helsinki and stayed the night, prepping for my flight to the Big Apple. Managed to get to my flight to Stockholm with no issue. Flight was fast and my 7 hour stopover in Stockholm had begun. Due to the expensive price of travelling into Stockholm, i decided to just explore the huge airport. Eventually finding a nice spot in the Skycity (lepak place). I spent a few hours watching shows as well as planes take off. The 7 hours flew by and soon i boarded the flight to NYC. Norwegian Air did not have as good a reputation as some of the other airlines but my experience flying with them has been nothing but perfect. Food was alright, seats were great, the staff were so polite and helpful. Nervous and excited, it is time for a new adventure.
NYC Here I Come.
