Ulaanbaatar

So after all the bluster and fast paced outfields in Mongolia’s amazing & unsullied lands, we welcomed the relaxing 2 days we had in the city of Ulaanbaatar. We checked into our wonderful, brilliant hostel (i really really love souvenirs hostel).  We more or less slacked until lunch time and went to a recommended Mongolian restaurant. Decent food, decent price. After lunch, it was more slacking in the hostel as well as some screening of a war movie (andrew garfield stars in it) in the hostel television (another reason why i love Zaya hostel). In the evening, we went to scout some stores for some souvenirs. The biggest find of the day was this modest and average looking kebab store right outside our hostel. It makes THE BEST kebab i have ever had in my life. THE BEST. It was so good i decided to have it again the next night! That was pretty much the first day. The second day began in the afternoon (late rise cause it is a holiday 😀 ) with LOGAN! Took abit of research but we all managed to find a cheap cinema that screened Logan (everywhere screens in english). It was supposed to cost us 7000 MNT (4 sgd) but the lady at the counter gave us children tickets for 5000 MNT (2.90 SGD), so that was a pretty nice turn of events. The movie did not dissapoint but i just wish i did not hype it up as much. We all managed to get some souvenirs and that was that for our 2 days of lazing and relaxing in Ulaanbaatar. Time to the exhausting trip from Ulaanbaatar to Listvyanka via Ulan Ude and Irkutsk.
